Lately, as I've been browsing all the amazing artwork featured here on DeviantArt I keep asking myself the question; what inspires or motivates artists, especially amateurs to keep at it? Do they enjoy the technical process of creation? Is it the challenge of taking a few basic art tools and creating something beautiful? Or are artists fueled by a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment when they get to step back and say "It's finished" "I gave it my best shot"! I know of course it's all of these things and many more that inspire artists to do what they do. But still, I wonder; what makes all the hard work and time spent on a piece of artw

Five months a Deviant, and my quest to find artistic inspiration finally begins. I just sat down yesterday and started browsing this website. Wow! There are a lot of talented people out there. Sadly I am not one of them. But perhaps I can get there some day. I hope so. I've started adding a few things that I feel are really good/inspiring/beautiful to my favorites. I hope this starts my creativity flowing. It is a little sluggish right now.  I started working on a few drawings again. If they dont turn into total failures perhaps I can get something posted on here. That would be nice. *keeps fingers crossed*
